Each generation of Interns get to host an event or project of their choice. For Generation Two, the interns chose to host a marketing camp and a final graphic design competition for females in high school and post-secondary. The event is called "EMMarketing," and it was held from July 5th to July 9th, 2021.  Learn more about our journey here!

What Our Campers Learned

giphy.gif

Monday was graphic design day, Tuesday was written communication, Wednesday was marketing, Thursday was a work period with office hours, and Friday was our closing ceremony. Each day occured from 4:00PM to 6:00PM, and included a minimum of one networking/breakout session, learning materials, and resources such as mentors. At the end, all participants were given a case study where they were judged and able to showcase what they learned.

Hi I'm Sophie and I’m currently a rising senior in Toronto. I had an amazing time working with EMGirls’s intern team and meeting so many talented individuals. As a student heading towards business management and law, I really resonate with EMGirls’s message. Getting the opportunity to lead and organize EMMarketing was an amazing experience.

Hi there, My name is Shrena Sribalan! I’m an intern at EMGirls who’s always looking for opportunities to learn and grow, especially in areas of passion! These passions consist of business, STEM fields, the arts, and giving back to my community! Joining EmGirls was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, as it allowed me to create an innovative event while becoming the changemaker I aspire to be! Truly am excited for everyone to see all the work we will accomplish and will forever remember the amazing intern team!

Greetings, I’m Evelyn Lee, a student at Erindale Secondary School! I love flowers, fantasy, and all the arts. As a female and an aspiring entrepreneur, I really resonate with EMGirls’s mission and what they stand for. I’m looking forward to all the great things we can achieve as a team and giving back to the community :) .

Hi, everyone! My name is Sahana Abbennagari, and I am a rising senior from Cleveland, OH. I love adventures, dancing, nature, and meeting new people. Recently, I have had the privilege of meeting and working with an amazing and inspiring group of girls who are just as passionate about entrepreneurship, self-growth, being a leader in their communities, and making an impact in peoples’ lives as I am. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to help create, lead, and organize a community of aspiring leaders, entrepreneurs, trailblazers, and changemakers through EMMarketing, and can not wait to see the impact we make!
